What's Up LA

What’s Up in March

Spring is in the air this month! The days are getting longer, the flowers are blooming and there’s a bunch of new hot spots to check out. Here’s what I’m super excited to check out this month!

Descanso Gardens’ Cherry Blossom Festival

Everything’s in bloom at this monthlong celebration of Japanese culture. Check out origami demos, flower-arranging workshops and daily tours of the amazing pink-flowering cherry blossom trees. More info here.

NoMad LA

The NYC export, NoMad Hotel, opened in DTLA in January and offers a luxurious local spot for staycation in a refined historic building, Giannini Place. But what makes NoMad super special is something available to even those who don’t book a night: the various dining options. Check out their site for more info and plan a date night downtown stat!

Triple Beam Pizza

Fresh to Highland Park is this Roman-style pizzeria. Pizzas are scissor-sliced and paid by the ounce. Beer and wine are also served. Check it out! More info here.

The San Fernando

Glendale’s The San Fernando is the happy hour spot for cocktail aficionados. Ever day from 3-7pm, you can get $5 old fashioneds (plus beer and cheap snacks too). Beyond the happy hour, you can’t beat the classic lounge vibes. Definitely a must-try! More info here.
